My name is David Jacobs, President and operating
manager of Energy Balance Incorporated.
My passion is working with adolescents to help them learn the
value and importance of a healthy lifestyle. With a personal
history of being overweight as teenager, I know how painful and
often overlooked this condition is.
I have two years of experience working at a children’s
obesity clinic, Fit Kids- Fit Families, Inc. in Lenexa, Kansas
implementing exercise programs for children and conducting weight
management sessions for individuals and families.
My Bachelor's degree is from the University of Kansas in Exercise
Science. While attending KU, I worked in their Energy Balance
Laboratory as part of a research study on obesity treatment.

I am currently working with a variety of people with different
goals and levels of fitness. Ages range from seven to ninety-five,
focusing on weight loss, injury rehabilitation, sports- specific
training, flexibility, general fitness, and more.
The Colorado mountains allow me to enjoy my favorite past times
of skiing, snow shoeing, and hiking.
I also enjoy playing racquetball, tennis, and basketball. The Denver Nuggets
are my favorite professional sports team and I love going to
games at the Pepsi Center. If I am at home, in the car, or exercising,
the music has to be on. My favorites are the Grateful Dead, Lynyrd
Skynyrd, B.B. King, and The Beastie Boys. My favorite foods are
Beau Jo’s pizza, quesadillas, blueberries, and all kinds
of Chinese food. |
